COLLIERVILLE, TN (WMC-TV) - A murder-for-hire case in Collierville was cracked wide open after the prime suspect committed suicide in his own yard.

Police say Kenneth Glenn, the owner of General Building Services, shot and killed himself less than two hours before he was to turn himself in.

Glen was accused in a murder-for-hire plot that police believe spawned out a civil case which involved Ron Woods, a recently fired sales manager at General Building Services.

Woods was fired in March. Glenn sued Woods, accusing him of breaching a contract.  But Woods counter-sued, accusing Glenn of Slander.
