Golf event raises money, awareness for local Boy Scouts

They drove the adventure and played for a purpose!! There was a great turn out at TPC Southwind, just days before the start of the PGA TOUR for The 2010 Chickasaw Council Classic.  The Chickasaw Council is the local organization which administers the programs of the Boy Scouts of America. Fourteen teams played most of 18 holes before the threat of severe weather caused an early finish, but feedback indicated the weather didn’t interfere with a great time had by all.

Between team fees, adventure packages, and auction items, more than $7,000 was raised, a great start to the annual goal of raising over $50,000 for Scouting. Scouts came out and assisted and also had a great time.
