Jim's Place Grille gets new look, more space | Business
(WMC-TV) – Collierville residents are buzzing about a popular restaurant that is expanding to allow more seating. In addition to more space, visitors will also notice a new look.
Jim’s Place Grille is expanding to allow more seating in the bar and lounge area. A new private dining room is also in the works.
According to general manager and co-owner Sam Taras, the bar expansion will allow for 20 more guests. The private dining room will seat 30 additional patrons.
“We are expanding due to the high demand of our bar area and private dining request,” said Taras. “We have been very blessed in that our business has grown over the last six years and these two areas are the highest areas of demand.”
The restaurant is also adding more storage space to allow the catering business to grow.
“We are very grateful for all the support that the Collierville/Germantown area has shown to us in allowing this expansion to be possible,” said Taras.
In the bar area, Taras said they will be adding two more high definition televisions, three high top tables, and two low top tables.
The private dining area will also have an HD flat screen TV.
The interior of the restaurant is also undergoing a transformation. The owner’s wife, Mary Katherine Taras, is the mastermind behind the new design.
Sam Taras said guests can expect a “very sleek and eclectic look similar to something in NYC!”
The restaurant’s expansion is set to be finished by December 1. Until then, business will go on as usual and the restaurant is already accepting reservations for their new private dining room.
